Bible Songs Lyrics

1. The Story Of Noah

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Genesis 6, 7, 8, 9
Now this is the story of Noah's time when people who did good were hard to find But Noah was good and was liked by God and brought up his family the same
God said he would bring a great flood. Everyone would drown in the mud 'Cause they wouldn't do what they should It would rain and rain
So Noah went telling from town to town. If they wouldn't listen they'd surely drown They didn't believe him but turned away. Now wasn't that an awful shame.
God said he would bring a great flood. Everyone would drown in the mud 'Cause they wouldn't do what they should It would rain and rain
Then Noah went building an ark, you know. Whatever God told him he'd do just so. His wife and his sons Japheth, Ham and Shem, and their wives were free from all blame
God said he would bring a great flood. Everyone would drown in the mud 'Cause they wouldn't do what they should It would rain and rain
Then God said to Noah to fill the ark and it became like a safari park with lions and tigers, then two by two, all of the animals came His family also got in the ark. The door it was shut and the sky grew dark. The heavens were opened, the flood came down. But those in the ark were all saved.
God said he would bring a great flood. Everyone would drown in the mud 'Cause they wouldn't do what they should It would rain and rain
And haven't you noticed how in our time the people who do good are hard to find We need to find out what we have to do so we can be free from all blame
God said he would bring a great flood. Everyone would drown in the mud 'Cause they wouldn't do what they should It would rain and rain – and rain – and rain . . .

2. How Did They Get Here?

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Picture heather on hills and soft flowing streams and all the animals, some we never have seen. There's so much harmony and such variety too. Haven't you wondered who put them all here for you?
How did they get here? Don't you want to know? Someone strong and very wise created them long ago Someone strong and very wise created them long ago
Look at the flowers with all their colours so bright, in so many sizes - they're a beautiful sight Come smell their fragrance - in this season they bloom. Haven't you wondered who put them all here for you?
How did they get here? Does someone make them grow? Someone strong and very wise created them long ago Someone strong and very wise created them long ago
Gaze up to heaven at those beautiful stars. Sparkling so bright - their glory shines from afar. You feel so tiny, the universe is so vast! It makes you wonder - staring into the past.
How did they get here? Don't you want to know? Someone strong and very wise created them long ago Someone strong and very wise created them long ago His name is Jehovah.

3. Time For Activity

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
It's not the time to drop your hands - Oh lift up your hands The time for work is now at hand - Yes lift up your hands
Eyes of blind will see again And the deaf will hear again We will hear the voiceless people calling God himself will be with us Taking death away from us Gone will be all the pain and mourning
The time has come to raise our head - Oh lift up your head And if we don't tire out by then Soon we'll be there when . . .
Eyes of blind will see again And the deaf will hear again We will hear the voiceless people calling God himself will be with us Taking death away from us Gone will be all the pain and mourning
The time we live in is the end - No, you can't pretend While we pray for our God to send - Soon, his kingdom when . .
Eyes of blind will see again And the deaf will hear again We will hear the voiceless people calling God himself will be with us Taking death away from us Gone will be all the pain and mourning

4. Happy Times

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
We have a chance to be happy - Come on don't throw it away This is a time to be happy Throwing all of our worries and our cares out of the way. I said that all of the world should be happy - Why should there be only few Let's share out joy with all others - Help them to be happy too.
When you find yourself lonely with a sadness coming on There is something positive to do - you can help people who like yourself too could be feeling rather low you may find that your giving helps you through yes you should do that because ..
We have a chance to be happy - Come on don't throw it away This is a time to be happy Throwing all of our worries and our cares out of the way. I said that all of the world should be happy - Why should there be only few Let's share out joy with all others - Help them to be happy too.
Sing along with a happy song or hum a happy tune Whistle over a joyful melody because we know, and it's for a certainty that peace is coming soon That's when everyone lives in harmony - as it should be - So I say ..
We have a chance to be happy - Come on don't throw it away This is a time to be happy Throwing all of our worries and our cares out of the way. I said that all of the world should be happy - Why should there be only few Let's share out joy with all others - Help them to be happy too.

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Love is sharing, Love is caring True love is long suffering and kind Try it and you'll find Love is bearing and believing Yes it hopes all things and it endures This I know for sure.
Love's a perfect bond So I know that it's what we need if this glowing here in our heart is to survive No, it never fails. Should the world collapse around us it will still be found even stronger than our lives.
Love is stronger, will last longer. True love takes you through the troubled times This is what I find.
I've been happy. Still I'm happy. All because I benefit from love - must be from above
Love's a perfect bond So I know that it's what we need if this glowing here in our heart is to survive No, it never fails. Should the world collapse around us it will still be found even stronger than our lives.
Love is sharing, Love is caring True love is long suffering and kind Try it and you'll find Love is bearing and believing Yes it hopes all things and it endures This I know for sure.

8. Doing Things My Father's Way

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
I don't want to tell a lie. If I do my mum will sigh. It will make my Father cry if I tell a lie.
Even if you tease and try to tempt me I will only look the other way Because I know I only will be happy When I always do things in my Father's way.
I don't need to beg or steal. I will always have my meals I know how my Father feels, I wont beg or steal
Even if you tease and try to tempt me I will only look the other way Because I know I only will be happy When I always do things in my Father's way.
I don't want to play with them. Bad words they have all spoken They are not my Fathers friends so I wont play with them
Even if you tease and try to tempt me I will only look the other way Because I know I only will be happy When I always do things in my Father's way.
I listen to Mum and Dad. I don't want to make them sad. No, you can't make me do bad, 'cause I love Mum and Dad
Even if you tease and try to tempt me I will only look the other way Because I know I only will be happy When I always do things in my Father's way.
Bridge: This is what I tell my 'friends' if every bad ways they defend This is what I say to them - I always say …

9. Genesis To Revelation

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Note from Composer: I wrote this song for my daughter when she was two years old to help her learn her Bible books and although she could barely pronounce the names of the books she could sing the song within a really short time (and she was really cute singing it too :-) Most people get the hang of it after only a few goes but here's a tip if you're trying to find a Bible book fast: After you become familiar with the song it's a good idea to get into the habit of starting to sing from different places. I suggest; Ruth & Samuel . . . and Proverbs Ecclesiastes . . . Ezekiel Daniel . . . Galatians Ephesians . . . This way when someone mentions a minor prophet like "Amos" you can start directly at Ezekiel and be there in a couple of seconds.
This is just a simple song to help you learn your Bible books Some have tried their whole life long but then a simple song was all it took
Genesis Exodus Leviticus and Numbers - Deuteronomy Joshua and Judges Ruth and Samuel Kings and Chronicles - Ezra Nehemiah Esther Job and Psalms Proverbs Ecclesiastes Song of Solomon, Isaiah Jeremiah Lamentations Ezekiel Daniel Hosea and Joel, Amos and Obadiah Jonah Micah Nahum Habakkuk then there's Zephaniah Haggai and Zechariah and Malachi
Matthew Mark Luke and John, Acts and Romans Corinthians Galatians Ephesians Philippians Colossians Thessalonians Then comes Timothy and Titus, Philemon Hebrews James Peter John, Jude and Revelation
Now you've heard me sing it through - It's as plain as ABC I'll repeat it just for you - Wont you sing along with me.

Songs For Sharing

1. A Special Friendship

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
A friend is a really special person, someone who's loyal and is true. And when there is no other, he's closer than a brother There's really nothing that he wouldn't do for you.
But I need a really special friendship, someone who can show me how to give. Someone with the wisdom and the power of God who can teach me how to live. Yes I've found a really special friendship to help me if I'm ever feeling down. I never want to lose it ‘cause my friend is God and He keeps me safe and sound.
So when I feel the whole world on my shoulders and no one else can tell me what to do. I can't control my feelings, but before I hit the ceiling, There's only one I know that I can still turn to ….
Yes I need a really special friendship, with someone who can understand my heart. Someone with the mercy and the love of God who can teach me where to start. Yes I've found a really special friendship to help me if I'm ever feeling down. I never want to lose it ‘cause my friend is God and He keeps me safe and sound.
Have you found your life is dull and empty? Why not peer into The Book of life. And then apply it's wisdom and get out of this system And pray to God in earnest to remove your strife …
Then you'll find a really special friendship, to help you if your ever feeling down. You'll never want to lose it ‘cause your friend is God and He keeps you safe and sound. Yes we've found a really special friendship to help us if we're ever feeling down. We never want to lose it ‘cause our friend is God and He keeps us safe and sound. Yes He keeps us safe and sound.

2. That's All There Is To Life

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
I know when I get older I'd like to learn to dance. I'd rehearse all the quicksteps if I could get a chance. Or I could be good at tennis and winning every set But if that ever fails me, my next love's clarinet!
But most of all I want just to live my life in a way that's good – and please my God (That's all there is to life) Then I know I'll find a true peace of mind with a joy of life that will not end.
I'd like to own some horses and ride them all day long. I'd play with all the animals if I lived on a farm. Or I could play the guitar and entertain my friends But that wont bring me happiness in life that will not end
But most of all I want just to live my life in a way that's good – and please my God (That's all there is to life) Then I know I'll find a true peace of mind with a joy of life that will not end.
Yes every child I know has got at least eighteen ambitions Telling me what they will be when they grow up Coming up with occupations as if it's a competition. But deep down inside they know their hearts will change as they will grow and grow
But most of all I want just to live my life in a way that's good – and please my God (That's all there is to life) Then I know I'll find a true peace of mind with a joy of life that will not end.
If I could be a doctor, I'd cure you of your ills But it's not every sickness that can be cured with pills. Or I could be a teacher, yeah a good one's hard to find. Yes I could teach the Bible – The Book for all mankind
But most of all I want just to live my life in a way that's good – and please my God (That's all there is to life) Then I know I'll find a true peace of mind with a joy of life that will not end.

3. Sharing And Giving

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
As you get older the truth you will know – while sharing and giving your happiness grows. Share with your friends and they'll stay ‘till the end and you'll know love's joy.
Look to the Bible examples to find – sharing and giving creates peace of mind Abraham shared in a way that was fair so as to know love's joy Abraham said to lot ‘we have to part – but why should we quarrel when brothers we are' ‘You take the best and then I'll take the rest and we'll know love's joy'
Share your time with your friend and if he asks don't you refuse In this time of the end – share with him all the good news.
Look to the Bible examples to see – Sharing and giving can set your heart free Turning the pages – look back through the ages – you'll know love's joy. Jesus was generous of this we're assured. Though he had riches he made himself poor. So we'd possess freedom and happiness and we'd know love's joy
Share your time with your friend and if he asks don't you refuse In this time of the end – share with him all the good news.
Life is a free gift from this we can see – with sharing and giving our God is well pleased Giving in secret , your Father who sees it will share love's joy
Share your time with your friend and if he asks don't you refuse In this time of the end – share with him all the good news.
As you get older the truth you will know – while sharing and giving your happiness grows. Share with your friends and they'll stay ‘till the end and you'll know love's joy.

6. Forever Calls Your Name

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
All the stars in the night and the sun and moon forever calls your name. Even wind through the trees and the son bird's tune forever calls your name.
And they call so loud in a voice so pure, you can hear the ring of the truth But so many are told ‘good is bad', ‘bad is good' they say ‘truth – what is truth?'
Just the sight of a babe when she's sleeping sound forever calls your name. And the view from a hill – gazing all around - forever calls your name.
And it reaches out into every heart, singing clear with harmony true. But the noise of this world tries to tear it apart and so few listen to you.
But the time will be here soon when every heart forever calls your name. When even mankind plays it's rightful part and forever calls your name.
What a cheer! What a shout! What a joyful song of your wisdom, power, justice and love. When the universe sings praises where they belong – all to you up above.
Yes the time will be here soon when every heart forever, forever, forever calls your name.

7. A Time To Choose

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
There's a time for everyone to choose – to decide which road to take. There's no time to waste – no time to lose – on the journey you must make. ‘Though the road to life is cramped and hard and not many use that way. But the ones who do are bless with joy and a friendship for today.
So don't you wait – Oh no. You'll only feel sorrow. Don't hesitate – Oh no. You know tomorrow's way too late.
Now you've grown into your teenage years – right and wrong you've come to know. And you've battled hard just too get here – ‘though you've still some way to go.
You can walk the way that's so called free but the hidden pain is real And the warmth of our God's smile is much more comforting to feel
So don't you wait – Oh no. You'll only feel sorrow. Don't hesitate – Oh no. You know tomorrow's way too late.
Bridge: If you're loaded down like a slave then you might choose a master lowly in heart. For his yoke is kindly. His load is light, You'll be happy once you play your part
So don't you wait – Oh no. You'll only feel sorrow. Don't hesitate – Oh no. You know tomorrow's way too late.

8. Pay Day

Words and Music by Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Take everything today and pay tomorrow – while even your own life is out on loan! And join with all your ‘friends' – forget your sorrow – but in trouble you stand on your own! Do what you want to do at cost tomorrow – so long as you have fun in what you do. But when it comes to paying what you've borrowed – don't be shocked when the payment is you!
‘Cause when the great day is here tomorrow will be today You'll find your debt is to great to pay.
They call what's in your heart ‘procrastination'. Perhaps it's there because of all your fear. Or maybe you're just joining with the nation – but that wont stop the day getting near. Whatever fills your heart with motivation – wont you let me give you some advice. Stop filling your heart full of complications – or you'll find that you can't pay the price
‘Cause when the great day is here tomorrow will be today You'll find your debt is to great to pay.
No time for turning – your debt must be paid. You've had your warning – it's too late for your life to be saved. You wake in the morning to find out it's true, You've had your warning - now you can't say that nobody knew.
Yeah now the great day is here. Tomorrow now is today You find your death is to great to pay. (repeat in counterpoint and fade)

9. Sing Louder

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
You can feel the tears that fall. You can hear their voices call. You can see their faces all the time they're in fear. And the love you have inside isn't something you can hide Just forget your foolish pride and say how you feel – it's no big deal ..
Come on and sing louder and show the way You've got to sing proud or you'll lose the faith Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)
Come on and shout louder and show the way You've got to speak out or you'll fade away Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)
There is more to life than bread – more to feed than can be fed. More to say than can be said right here in a song. Then, there's those who turn away – you can almost hear them say – ‘I will help tomorrow but today – they can wait' – but that's too late
Come on and sing louder and show the way You've got to sing proud or you'll lose the faith Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)
Come on and shout louder and show the way You've got to speak out or you'll fade away Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)
And let your words be true – let your words flow free. Let everybody hear – with their minds let them see ..
Come on and sing louder and show the way You've got to sing proud or you'll lose the faith Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)
Come on and shout louder and show the way You've got to speak out or you'll fade away Sing from the heart. Sing it today. (Sing it today)

10. A Way To Stay Alive

Words and Music by Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Composer's Comment: When I first started looking into the Bible (c. 1980) and getting my questions answered I was simply astounded at the truths explained to me. I wanted to express my feelings in song but at the time it seemed my appreciation was growing too fast each week and I felt anything I wrote would be outdated almost immediately. Instead I wrote a song outlining a simple informal presentation that highlighted the momentous times we live in according to Bible prophecy being fulfilled presently around us as well as the confidence of further promises of God yet to be fulfilled.
What I'd like to say to you wont take of your time What you've got to listen to is what you've hoped to find. That is if you're seeking life – a way to stay alive – mmmmmm.
I don't have to tell you Sir of crime in the streets Or of all the pain and death everyone meets. That is, you must have formed your own views – you must read the news ..
These are hard times – times – these critical times hard to deal with are here with us today. And in these times – times – the truth will be heard in all lands for a witness to say; “This is Jehovah's day!”
Could I draw your attention to what's written in The Book And what is says in Matthew here – just take a look. You can see that it must describe today – it's here in every way – mmmmmm.
Isaiah also tells us here of how our God is kind, And how men will come to see who were formerly blind And God's people will have everlasting life – no sorrow and no strife – mmmmm
After these times – times – these critical times hard to deal with here with us today. And in these times – times – the truth will be heard in all lands for a witness to say; “This is Jehovah's day!”
So now you'll agree with me - the promises are there. And God gave us hope to live that you can also share. But knowledge in Jehovah is the key – this you have to see That is if your seeking life – a way to stay alive And live through these times
And live through these times – times – these critical times hard to deal with here with us today. And in these times – times – the truth will be heard in all lands for a witness to say; “This is Jehovah's day!”

Moy Monkey's Lessons For Life

1. Lessons For Life (Part One)

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Proverbs 1:1-4
Hello boys and girls, my name is Moy Monkey! I'm going to take you with me on my school day today. As we go along, we're going to learn some very special lessons. Lessons that will help you grow up to be happy, safe, and wise. So put your school bags on, hold on tight, and let's go!
We're learning lessons, lessons for life, To keep us safe from trouble and strife. Listen real close to what the teachers say, And we'll be wiser at the end of the day!
The sun is shining bright, the birds are in the trees, We're walking down the pavement, feeling the morning breeze. But before we reach the school gates, there's a road we have to cross, We need to know the safety code so we are not at a loss!
We're learning lessons, lessons for life, To keep us safe from trouble and strife. Listen real close to what the teachers say, And we'll be wiser at the end of the day!

2. Mumbling

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Proverbs 15:2 / Proverbs 16:21
Note from Composer: This song is a playful way to show children how important clear speech is. When we speak clearly, people can understand our thoughts and our kindness much better!
If you have something to tell your friends, don't keep it inside your head, Open your mouth and speak it out, let it be clearly said. But if you swallow all your words and talk down to the floor, Nobody knows what you're talking about, and they wont listen anymore!
Mumbling, mumbling, please don't mumble so, Speak your words out clearly so everyone will know. Open up your mouth and let the sound come through, Then your friends can listen and talk right back to you!
The teacher asks a question, you know the answer right, But when you try to say it, your throat gets really tight. You whisper and you mutter, it sounds like bees that buzz, The teacher says "Please speak up child, I can't hear what it was!"
Mumbling, mumbling, please don't mumble so, Speak your words out clearly so everyone will know. Open up your mouth and let the sound come through, Then your friends can listen and talk right back to you!

So open your ears and open your mind, Listen to others, be gentle and kind. For learning is fun and it helps us to grow, The more that we listen, the more we will know!
Don't daydream or fidget or look at the wall, When someone is speaking, give your attention to all. A wise little monkey will sit very still, To soak up the lessons with all of his will.
So open your ears and open your mind, Listen to others, be gentle and kind. For learning is fun and it helps us to grow, The more that we listen, the more we will know!

4. That's Fractions

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Note from Composer: This song makes math fun by showing children how fractions work using real-world things they love to share, like apples and delicious birthday cakes!
If you take a whole pie and you cut it in two, You've got two equal pieces for me and for you. One piece is a half, yes it's one out of two, That's a basic fraction I'm showing to you!
Fractions, fractions, parts of a whole, Dividing things up is our mathematical goal. A half or a quarter, a third or a fifth, Fractions are easy, a wonderful gift!
Now slice it again so it's cut into four, Each piece is a quarter, let's count them once more. Four equal parts make the whole pie complete, Learning math can be a delicious young treat!

5. There's No Need To Make The Earth Filthy

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Revelation 11:18
When you finish with your wrapper or your empty plastic can, Don't just drop it on the pavement like a careless little man. Put it cleanly in your pocket or look out for a bin, Keeping God's creation beautiful is how we want to win!
There's no need to make the earth filthy and grey, Pick up all your rubbish and throw it away. Keep the parks and the playgrounds so tidy and clean, It's the prettiest world that you ever have seen!
See the litter on the grass where the happy children play, It spoils all the fields and it ruins our day. So let's work all together, every girl and every boy, To protect this lovely planet that Jehovah made for joy.
There's no need to make the earth filthy and grey, Pick up all your rubbish and throw it away. Keep the parks and the playgrounds so tidy and clean, It's the prettiest world that you ever have seen!

6. The Play-wise Safety Code

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Note from Composer: I wrote this safety code song to give children easy, memorable rules for playing outdoors, so they can look out for danger while having fun.
When you're kicking on your football or you're riding on your bike, Look around for cars and trucks and hazards that you like. Never chase a ball into the road without a look, Safety rules are useful, like the lessons in a book!
Play wise, stay safe, wherever you go, Keep your eyes wide open and make sure you know. The playground is the best place to jump and to run, Following the safety code keeps up all the fun!
Don't go climbing over fences where the danger signs are high, Listen to the wisdom of the older standers-by. Keep away from busy streets and deep or flowing water, Protecting every single happy son and little daughter!
Play wise, stay safe, wherever you go, Keep your eyes wide open and make sure you know. The playground is the best place to jump and to run, Following the safety code keeps up all the fun!

7. Lessons For Life (Part Two)

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Proverbs 4:7
Back in the classroom, the afternoon begins, We sharpen up our pencils and empty out the bins. There's history and geography and science rules to find, Every piece of knowledge helps expand a young person's mind!
We're learning lessons, lessons for life, To keep us safe from trouble and strife. Listen real close to what the teachers say, And we'll be wiser at the end of the day!
Moy Monkey sits attentively and hears the teacher talk, Watching every single line she writes upon the chalk. For getting an education is a truly special tool, That's why we pay attention when we are at our school.
We're learning lessons, lessons for life, To keep us safe from trouble and strife. Listen real close to what the teachers say, And we'll be wiser at the end of the day!

8. It's About Time

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Ecclesiastes 3:1
Note from Composer: This song is a handy tool to help children master reading a clock face. It connects the concept of hours and minutes to their regular daily routines.
Tick tock, tick tock, goes the big round clock, The short hand tells the hour, the long hand walks the block. Sixty little minutes make an hour pass away, And twenty-four full hours make a complete night and day!
It's about time, let's look at the clock, Listen to the ticking and the steady ticky-tock. Time to get up early, time to go to bed, Time to learn the lessons that the teacher just has said!
When the big long hand points straight up to the sky, And the short hand hits the eight, the morning passes by. That means it's eight o'clock and school is starting soon, We'll count the hours ticking past until we hit the noon!
It's about time, let's look at the clock, Listen to the ticking and the steady ticky-tock. Time to get up early, time to go to bed, Time to learn the lessons that the teacher just has said!

9. I Am Learning To Read

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: 1 Timothy 4:13
Open up a book and look right at the page, It doesn't even matter what is your young age. Sound out all the letters, blend them into words, Reading opens up a world of castles, ships, and birds!
I am learning to read, it's a wonderful thing, To discover all the joy that a storybook can bring. From the left to the right, my eyes follow the line, Practicing my reading makes my future look so fine!
First you learn your sounds, like 'ah', 'buh', and 'cuh', Then you put them all together like 'duh', 'ah', 'guh'. Suddenly a word pops right out into view, Reading is a superpower inside of me and you!

11. Holding Me Tight Lullaby

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Placeholder
Note from Composer: A gentle closing song to wind down the school day, focusing on the deep security of a parent's love and appreciation.
The school day is over, the stars are in sight, Moy Monkey is sleepy and tucked in real tight. The moon is a-glowing, the birds are at rest, Of all of God's blessings, your love is the best.
Holding me tight, sweet dreams through the night, Safe in your arms till the morning brings light. With Mummy and Daddy to guide me along, I'm growing up happy, secure, and so strong.
Thank you Jehovah for parents who care, For all of the safety and love that we share. I'll close up my eyes now and drift fast asleep, Knowing your angels my layout will keep.
Holding me tight, sweet dreams through the night, Safe in your arms till the morning brings light. With Mummy and Daddy to guide me along, I'm growing up happy, secure, and so strong.

God's name is Jehovah, the Most High over all, He listens and saves us whenever we call. With power and wisdom and love that is true, Jehovah is watching o'er me and o'er you!
He made all the mountains, the oceans, the trees, He rules over islands and birds on the breeze. So let's sing His name out with proud harmony, The greatest creator there ever could be!

2. Obedience

Words and Music By Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: 1 Samuel 15:22 / Ephesians 6:1
Note from Composer: Learning to obey Mum, Dad, and Jehovah protects a young person's heart and guides them away from dangerous pathways.
When Mum says it's time to put toys in the box, Or Dad says to pack up your shoes and your socks. Don't grumble or sigh or drag out your feet, Obeying real quickly makes family life sweet!
Obedience is better than a sacrifice or gift, It clears out the clouds and it gives us a lift. To listen and follow the rules that are right, Makes everyone happy from morning till night!
Jehovah gives rules in His Book full of love, To guide all His children from heaven above. By being obedient we show that we care, And blessings of peace will be found everywhere.
Obedience is better than a sacrifice or gift, It clears out the clouds and it gives us a lift. To listen and follow the rules that are right, Makes everyone happy from morning till night!

3. We Can Get Strength From Jehovah

Words and Music by Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Judges 13 - 16
Again when all the Israelites kept doing bad once more For 40 years Jehovah let Philistines win the war Meanwhile there was a man of Zorah, from the tribe of Dan Who's wife could not have children - but Jehovah had a plan What a joy when then God's angel told Manoah and his wife 'You will have a son that's special - He will be a Nazirite' 'you must take good care of your son' - that is what the angel said 'And let his hair grow really long - a razor shouldn't touch his head'
And like Jehovah promised, Manoah had a healthy son His name was Samson, he was strong and every battle won. It's because he loved Jehovah, and once he didn't cut his hair He would get Jehovah's awesome power just with a simple prayer. Using only his bare hands he killed a roaring lion dead And easily broke new rope, as if it was only thread. With the jawbone of a donkey killed Philistines on his own Not just ten, no, not a hundred, but a thousand with that bone
If we ask our Father for the strength to always do what's right He will give us holy spirit every day and every night.
Samson thought he loved Delilah - in a way that made him blind He couldn't see her treachery - inside she was unkind She would weep and nag him day and night until his lips unsealed. She made the strongest man feel weak - his secret he revealed. 'My hair has not been cut'; he said; 'from the time that I was born' 'I serve God as a Nazirite - it's an oath that I have sworn.' And if I cut my hair I'm no longer a Nazirite I will no longer have the strength from God to win each war or fight.
Eleven hundred bits of silver she agreed and she did wrong the night she told Philistines just what makes Samson so strong. While Samson slept upon her lap he didn't hear them sneak. Philistines cut his hair and blinded him to make him weak. And they took him to a prison where they kept him as a slave He prayed to God: "I'm sorry" and Jehovah God forgave. The Philistines had a party. To their god Dagon they wailed They made fun of Samson and his God; "Who is strong now?" they said.
If we ask our Father for the strength to always do what's right He will give us holy spirit every day and every night.
So Samson prayed while standing bound between the pillars there They hadn't noticed all the while that he'd grown back his hair "Dear sovereign lord Jehovah give me strength to push asunder" Jehovah gave him holy spirit - and the walls crashed down with thunder.
If we ask our Father for the strength to always do what's right He will give us holy spirit every day and every night.

5. The Golden Rule

Words and Music by Brendan Vincent Owens • www.BibleSongs.co.uk

Scriptural Reference: Matthew 7:12
All things, therefore, you want men to do to you, you also must likewise do to them - It's the golden rule.
Sublime wisdom, in just a few words, Just like bread sent down from heaven They're in the sermon on the mount, verse twelve of Matthew seven
Ask yourself: If I'd like to be treated fairly, with honesty and with respect; Is that how I've treated others - last time that I checked? And if I want a world of peace, without hatred, war and crime; Do I resort to fights and anger or show love all the time?
So it's down to us to be the first To feed their hunger - to quench their thirst No we won't sit back and wait for their compassion Instead we'll show our love (and kindness even though right now it might not be in fashion).
